cymbidium orchid stems

It’s Prom time! The shop is brimming with spray roses, freesia, and orchids of all kinds.  We just got in our cymbidium orchids.  Check these out:

The array of colors lends these cymbidiums a bit more versatility than the phalaenopsis plants we’ve been deconstructing for their blooms.  While the phalaenopsis we have in the store tend to be white, purple, or some combination of the two, these cymbidiums range from green to dark red.

Lovely on a stem, they’re breathtaking up close.  (Of course, most flowers are!)  These stand out because of their elongated petal shape and complex center design.

Here’s another view.  Soon we’ll post a photo of a corsage made with cymbidiums.  Be on the lookout!
